Megan had a beautiful but frail wedding gown from her grandmother. Megan’s grandmother married a few weeks after her fiancé came back from being stationed in Europe during WWII. They had not seen each other for four years. They were married on September 8, 1945. The yoke of the dress was edged with a handmade cotton bobbin lace and the back of the dress had a long row of covered buttons. At her own wedding, Megan wore a stunning silver cuff made from her grandmother’s wedding dress lace. Megan’s sister wore a silver bangle made from the covered buttons and closures.
